As of April 22, 2022, a general contractor has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/1/2022 4:00 PM Project: COMMUNITY PARK PHASE 3 IMPROVEMENTS: Project generally comprises construction of a pre-engineered masonry concession/restroom building purchased by the Borough, installing playground border and equipment purchased by the Borough, furnishing and installing playground underdrain and surface, construction of a concrete common area, installing a sail style shade structure purchased by the Borough, installing electric, sanitary sewer, water and storm sewer and planting trees. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of a certified check, bank check, irrevocable letter of credit, or Bid Bond (on the form included with the Bidding Documents) for 10 percent of the Bid total. It is a requirement of the Contract that at least 50% of the Work required by this Project be performed by Bidder. The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. The Project is partially financed by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation and is subject to the grant conditions described in EXHIBIT A attached to the Project Manual. Bidders, subcontractors, their workers and any persons providing labor and products to the Project shall be persons lawfully permitted to work in the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Successful Bidder/Contractor and its subcontractor(s), as a precondition of being awarded a Contract, are required to provide confirmation of compliance with Act 127 of 2012, the "Public Works Employment Verification Act". Because of planned activities in the park until July 31, 2022, work shall commence on August 1, 2022 and all work shall be completed and ready for final payment by October 31, 2022. The OWNER hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any or all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, or irregularities not involving price, time, or change in the Work, in any Bid. The opinion of probable construction cost is $400,000.00 to $430,000.00.
