Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Hastings, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work of this project includes renovations to aeration tanks, piping, odor control lines, gates and covers; various HVAC upgrades in numerous buildings on the campus; and other site improvements. The MCUB participation goal for this contract is 10% The Work of this Contract is located at the following location(s): 1. Hastings Wastewater Treatment Plant, 521 East Second Street, Hastings, MN 55033 2. Hastings Proposed Plant Site, 2445 Ravenna Trail, Hastings MN 55033 The Work described in this section provides a general description of the major work and does not include all work to be performed by the CONTRACTOR. 1. Aeration Tanks: a. Demolition of all odor control piping from aeration tank's fiberglass covers to south of aeration tanks. Cap (8) fiberglass cover line openings. Cap the (2) underground odor pipes to remain. b. Remove (10) existing manual gates. Install (6) new gates, and seal (4) 24- inch x 36-inch existing at gate locations. c. Superficial concrete work within 2-feet of existing gate locations (10), removed sections of aeration tank covers, and removed sections of decking/ bar grating. Superficial concrete work is defined surface defects, less than 1.5-inchs deep. d. Demolition of spray water piping in tanks 1, 2, 3, and 4 to the extent shown in the Drawings. e. Remove aeration tank covers at tanks 1, 2, 3, and 4 to facilitate the slide gate removal and replacement work. Place back covers after the Work is complete. Restore disturbed landscaping in temporary laydown areas. f. Commissioning and testing of gate operations. g. Superficial concrete repairs to tanks 1, 2, 3, and 4. h. All incidental work for a complete and operational system. 2. Grit Building (14) HVAC Replacements: a. Remove existing MU-302, ERU-302, EF-302, F-302B and replace with 14- MAU-2, 14-EF-2 serving the dry side of Grit Building. b. Remove existing MU-301, ERU-301, EF-301, F-301B, and replace with 14- MAU-1, 14-EF-1 serving the wet side of Grit Building. c. Install new ductwork as required. d. Commissioning, testing, and balancing of HVAC units and controls. e. All incidental work for a complete and operational system. 3. Influent Building (09) HVAC Replacements: a. Remove existing MU-202, ERU-201, F-202A, F-202B, EF-202 and replace with 09-MAU-2 and 09-EF-2 serving the dry side of Influent Building. b. Remove existing EF-203 and replace with 09-EF-3. c. Remove existing MU-201, F-201, EF-201 and replace with 09-MAU-1 and 09-EF-1 serving the wet side of Influent Building. d. Install new ductwork as required. e. Commissioning, testing, and balancing of HVAC units and controls. f. All incidental work for a complete and operational system. 4. Temporary HVAC for Grit Building (14): a. Provide temporary HVAC for the Grit Building (14) during the demolition and installation of new HVAC systems. 5. Temporary HVAC for Influent Building (09): a. Provide temporary HVAC for the Influent Building (09) during the demolition and installation of new HVAC systems. 6. Disinfection (03) HVAC Balancing: a. Balance existing HVAC systems for this building. b. All incidental work for a complete and operational system. 7. Solids Loadout (12) concrete pavement: a. Install concrete apron at building entrance. Must be started and completed within a short duration to allow for continued process operation. b. Install concrete apron and curb at exit. i. This will include work on both sides of the plant security fence and will include temporary barricades to secure the site during this work. ii. Locate and protect underground electrical line from card reader at the southwest corner of Solids Loadout (12) building to the gate. c. Restore disturbed landscaping. d. All incidental work for a complete and operational system
