Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Bracebridge, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
The District Municipality of Muskoka (District) intends to replace an existing air handling unit (ACS 9) on The Pines Long Term Care Home in Bracebridge, Ontario. The unit is located on the flat roof of the second floor level of the building. District will pre-qualify up to a maximum of four (4) general contractors to participate in a request for tender process for the project. Only pre-qualified general contractors will be permitted to participate in the request for tender process, which is expected to follow the pre-qualification. The successful proponent shall be prime contractor, responsible for the entire project, which includes the removal of existing rooftop HVAC unit ACS 9 and the installation, startup, and commissioning of a new rooftop HVAC unit. The new unit has been pre tendered (see attached) and is to be included in this contract. The estimated construction cost for this project is $ 250,000.00 Notice of pre-qualification is anticipated for March 2022 and a tender process will follow into April of 2022.It is expected that the work will commence on site June 1, 2022 and be substantially complete by July 29, 2022. The down time for this HVAC system must be minimized to limit the disruption to building occupants.
