Renovation of a water / sewer project in Valier, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Proposals must be submitted and will be evaluated by April 6, 2022. The proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria discussed in the RFP and Basis of Design that can be obtained from WWC Engineering. The PCCRC intends to select one contractor from this process and then proceed with irrigation system improvements, based on the selected contractor's proposal. Background: The Dupuyer Creek Diversion is located approximately 8 miles southwest of Valier, MT. The diversion from Dupuyer Creek consists of a concrete structure with five (5) 6-foot-wide by 5-foot-tall steel gates through the Diversion and one 6-foot by 5-foot steel gate that returns flows back to the natural Dupuyer Creek channel. The PCCRC currently operates the Diversion with hand-crank adjustments at a frequency of several times a day. This process occurs throughout the entire irrigation season. The project proposal is to automate the gate controls, install several flow monitoring stations, and install a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that can be monitored and controlled from the PCCRC office in Valier. The Dupuyer Creek Diversion (Diversion) is located approximately 8 miles southwest of Valier, Mont ana in Sect ion 28, Township 29 North, Range 6 West at an approximat e lat it ude and longit ude of 48.23885 N and 112.38795 W. The Diversion operat es in series wit h several ot her st ruct ures t o convey irrigat ion wat er t o t he PCCRC' s irrigat ed acres upst ream of Lake Frances, supply Lake Frances wit h wat er, and divert base flows wit hin Dupuyer Creek int o t he PCCRC' s irrigat ion syst em. The Diversion is a crit ical component of t he PCCRC wat er delivery syst em The Dupuyer Creek Diversion Automation Project is necessary t o improve water conservation, promote operational efficiency, and ensure t he long-t erm viabilit y of t he entire PCCRC irrigat ion system. The Diversion contains six (6) 5' x 6' met al gat es t hat are manually operated on sit e. The proj ect will involve aut omat ing t wo (2) of t he exist ing canal gates, one (1) creek sluice gat e, inst alling multiple st ream and canal flow measurement and t emperat ure sensors, and inst alling a Supervisory Control and Dat a Acquisition (SCADA) system for remote gat e operat ion and remot e monit oring of flows and temperature. As an additive alternate, the Cont ract or shall provide wit h t he proposal t he total cost t o automate a third gate for the main diversion st ruct ure. All submittals will include t he design, supply, construct ion, installation and calibration (including safety/ fault t riggers) of new electrically actuated motors as operators for the existing Waterman Gates. The SCADA controls will allow t he PCCRC t o remotely monitor and control flows at t he Diversion, which will provide for more efficient operation at t he Diversion. The Diversion sit e, where t he bulk of t he project is located, has readily available single-phase power. A breaker panel will be mounted on t he southern end of t he diversion walkway wall for t he Contract or' s use connecting power t o t he improvements. All conduit , wire, receptacles, and electrical appurtenances to transmit power from t he breaker panel t o motors, actuators, gages, or other improvements for this RFP will be provided by the Contractor
