Demolition and site work for a residential development in Steelton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Project includes the following Work: Work for the Project generally entails the demolition of a brick and stone masonry building at 101 Locust Street. The Borough wishes to demolish most of the existing structure. Some of the back wall and foundation will need to remain for the structural integrity of the retaining wall behind the existing building structure.Bid security in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. The successful bidder shall be required to provide a Performance Bond for 100% of the Contract Bid price as required by the Contract Documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted via PennBid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Project is being funded by Dauphin County Land Bank Demolition funds. The estimated cost for this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. Steelton Borough reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of Steelton Borough and to reject any or all proposals.
