The project consists the collection of a 20-ft. container from harbor, offloading chlorine gas cylinders from the container and delivering to various locations. The size of cylinders includes both one (1) ton cylinders and 150-pound cylinders. The 150-pound cylinders are not expected to be in cages in the container. Hauler is responsible for supplying forklifts at remote well sites (all locations not at a baseyard). Specific delivery locations available from Project Engineer at 808-961-8790 upon request. This contract will also include the repacking of the containers with empty cylinders for shipment back to mainland, prior to the next harbor pickup. This contract will also include moving the one (1) ton cylinders from storage locations to the Waimea Water Treatment Plant location and empty one (1) ton cylinders back to a storage facility. Haul and Deliver One-Ton Chlorine Cylinders and 150 lb. Chlorine Cylinders to Various Locations Islandwide (on an as-needed basis) The bidder's attention is directed to the following: The Hawai`i products preference pursuant to HRS 103D-1002 is applicable for this solicitation. Persons wishing to certify and qualify a product not currently listed as a Hawai`i Product shall submit a Certification for Hawai`i Product Preference (form SPO-038) to: Department of Water Supply, Manager-Chief Engineer, 345 Kekuanao`a Street, Suite 20, Hilo HI 96720. For each product, one form shall be completed and submitted (i.e. 3 products should have 3 separate forms completed). The bid opening and pre-bid meeting(s) required for this project (if any, as set forth above) are scheduled at venues that are accessible to persons with disabilities.
