This expedites the process and reduces errors for both buyer and supplier. Question Cutoff Date 3/25/2022 06:00:00 PM (ET) Grimes Lab Office The Iowa DOT is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to add a wall, door, ceiling, window, and paint to make an office in existing lab room per the plans and specifications included in this solicitation. Work to be performed during regular working hours and days. Inspections may be required from State Building Code Bureau coordinated through contractor, paid by Owner. Licensed electrician required. State Electrical Board to perform inspections coordinated through contractor. Estimated project period is to begin after July 1, 2022 and is to be completed by December 1, 2022 or as determined by the Project Manager at the pre-construction meeting. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. The Iowa DOT is exempt from paying sales tax. Please do not include sales tax in your bid amount.
