The Fort Peck Tribes are seeking Requests for Proposals from qualified fencing contractors to provide labor and equipment necessary to construct fence for livestock containment. Location: Range Unit 5 is located approximately 15.5 miles north of Nashua MT, and more specifically in Sections 13-15, 22-24, 35, & 36 of Township 30 N., Range 41 E.; and, Sections 19, 20, 29, 30, 31, & 32 of Township 30 N., Range 42 E. The majority of the fence is located on trust land administered for grazing purposes, which encompasses approximately 4,737.04 acres. General Scope: Install 19 miles of four-wire fence in accordance to NRCS Wildlife friendly specifications. Replace existing gates only. Corner and H-braces will be of short and long pipe. Contractor will also be responsible for removal, disposal, cleanup of approximately 16.5 miles old fence. Contractor is responsible to mark and locate all underground utilities and Call Before You Dig, before work begins. Contractor is responsible for hauling materials from storage located 5 miles east of Poplar on BIA Route 1. Completion of the project shall be completed by December 31, 2022. Requests for Proposals must contain: Proposal must include a per mile price for construction of the new fence and a per mile price for removal of the old fence.
