As of May 6, 2022, project was awarded to Martin Brothers Construction, awarded amount is $8,228,595.24. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for pavement rehabilitation of designated streets: Ambassador Dr., Apple Grove Wy., Apple Orchard Ct., Apple Ranch Wy., Averell CI., Blackstone Wy., Bronwood Wy., Coloma Rd Frontage (North), Coloma Rd Frontage (South), Compton Ct., Danbury Wy., Ellison Dr., Farnsworth Wy., Gaywood Dr., Georgetown Dr., Gleneyre CI., Green Blossom Ct., Hollydale Wy., Home Ranch Ct., Maryvale Wy., McGregor Dr., Mills Ranch Wy., Palmwood Ct., Pantages Cir., Pecan Grove Wy., Red Brook Wy., River Edge Wy., River Trails Cir., River Vista Wy., River Wood Wy., Rose Hill Ct., Rossmoor Dr., Rugby Ct., Sportsman Ct., Starrlyn Wy., Studarus Dr., Trails Ct., Valley View Dr., Walnut Grove Wy., Warranton Dr., West Wood Ct., Wood Bridge Wy., Wood Cliff Wy., and Chase Dr.. Various other items of work include cold plane; hot mix asphalt; rubberized hot mix asphalt; full depth reclamation with cement, slurry seal (Type II), concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements; drainage improvements; thermoplastic striping and markings; and other incidental work to be completed within the limits of work shown on the Plans. Sidewalk and sidewalk ramp improvements are to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title 24 and City of Rancho Cordova standards as provided in these specifications. The nature of this project dictates that the limits of pavement repair, sidewalk removal, storm drainage improvements, striping and markings may vary from the Plans, as directed by the City Engineer. Any questions or clarifications on the plans that may require a formal bid addendum must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on March 15th. The City will review the questions and issue a bid addendum if necessary. Questions submitted after March 15th may not generate a formal response. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to the City of Rancho Cordova, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the City of Rancho Cordova, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price (see attached Bid Form) Pursuant to California Contract Code Section 22300, the contractor may, at its own expense, substitute securities for any money being withheld by the City of Rancho Cordova to ensure performance under this contract. The City of Rancho Cordova reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder. Time for completion of the work is 160 working days for the Project from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the City.
