The 2020 Water Main Replacement portion of the project involves the replacement of existing water main in three locations with roughly 2,450 lineal feet (LF) of 8" Ductile Iron (DI) pipe in the Twin Maples neighborhood, 490 LF of 8" pipe in Woodhaven Place, and 300 LF of 8" DI as well as 120 LF of 4" pipe in 95th Place W. The project that is located in Snohomish County also includes the replacement of fire hydrants and blow-off assemblies, connections to the existing system, and replacement and reconnection of services. Also included as part of the work is restoration work involving trench patching, grind and overlay, general restoration, as well as erosion control and traffic control. The specific location of the proposed facilities to be replaced is shown on the construction plans. The watermain portion of the project is funded through the Washington State Public Works Board program with State funds. The Engineer's Estimate (without tax) for the water main replacement portion of the project without tax is $1,225,000.00. The bioretention retrofit portion of project includes work in the Twin Maples Neighborhood in the Town of Woodway on 111th Place West and 239th Place Southwest. The bid schedule consists of Bioretention Retrofit that include installation of two (2) raingardens, one (1) concrete drainage structure and associated storm drainage piping. Included are associated temporary erosion and sediment control measures, tree/landscaping removal, asphalt removal, and restoration of landscaped and paved areas. Restoration of landscaped areas includes gravel shoulders and hydroseeding. Contractor shall also provide traffic control in accordance with the MUTCD. All work shall be performed in accordance with contract documents and approved construction plans. The Engineer's Estimate for this portion of the project is $55,000.00 (no tax).
