A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Project includes the following Work: The work generally includes the replacement of water main pipe, new valves, hydrant assembly, service connections, disinfection, asphaltic pavement patching and other related work to replace existing water service and restore areas disturbed during construction. Bids are requested for the following Contract: South Fifth Street Reconstruction Project - Market Street to Mulberry Street. The Project has an expected duration of one hundred twenty (120) days. Bidders are required to hold their price for a minimum of ninety (90) days to allow Owner to award a contract. Once a contract is awarded, bonds will be returned to those bidders not awarded a contract. A pre-bid conference for the Project has not been scheduled and none is intended at time of bid request. If a pre-bid conference is scheduled, attendance is optional and will be held at the offices of the Newport Borough Water Authority, located at 497 N Front St, Newport, PA 17074.
