Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lowell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and power facility.
UMass Lowell North Campus Power Plant Boiler #3 Replacement The Work under the Contract consists of: 1. All Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the Specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. 2. (1.) Replace water tube Boiler #3 including all modifications, piping connections and electrical connections. Controls (provided by Owner). Removal and replacement of boiler feed water pumps and associated VFDs. Structural modifications to existing platform and additional steel for new platform and roof penetrations. (2.) Abatement of the existing water tube Boiler #3 through an abatement contractor obtained by the general contractor, as well as further demolition of the boiler and related appurtenances by the HVAC contractor. (3.) Draining and cleaning of existing oily water fluid within existing floor trench to be provided by Massachusetts Licensed Waste Disposal firm hired by the General Contractor. Removal from site to be provided by Owner.
