The South Main Street Rehabilitation and Road Improvement Project (Project) is a single-phase project funded with local funding on South Main Street from Elm Street to Luther Road (approximately 1.1 miles). South Main Street Rehabilitation and Road Improvement Project consists of cold planing and placing rubberized stress absorbing membrane interlayer and rubberized hot mix asphalt from Luther Road to Elm Street. Additional work includes replacing non-ADA compliant curb ramps with new compliant ramps, new pedestrian push buttons at signals, new detector loops at signals, and new striping. Bidding Contractor must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relation (DIR) and pursuant to California SB 854, the Contractor and Subcontractors must submit certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner. Pursuant to Section 1770 et. seq., California Labor Code, the successful bidder shall pay not less that the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the DIR. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
