The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all submittals in the best interest of the Town of Newington and its School Department. Through the qualifications process, the Newington Public School System will contract for hazardous material abatement services at various Newington Public Schools locations. The Newington Board of Education facilities are as follows: Board of Education Central Office & Transition Academy, 200 Garfield Street Newington High School, 605 Willard Avenue Martin Kellogg Middle School, 155 Harding Avenue John Wallace Middle School, 71 Halleran Drive Ruth L. Chaffee School, 160 Superior Avenue Elizabeth Green School, 30 Thomas Street John Paterson School, 120 Church Street Anna Reynolds School, 85 Reservoir Road School Transportation Garages, 159 Garfield Street Athletic Field House, 168 Alumni Road The Newington Board of Education anticipates that there will be an ongoing need for hazardous material abatement services within the public school system over the next few years. This work will primarily be asbestos abatement and PCB abatement (though not exclusively). The Newington Board of Education is interested in developing a multi-year term contract program with a qualified vendor (or vendors) as an outcome of this qualification process. Contractors who are successfully qualified through this process will move on to the proposal/bid phase.
