The Weber Basin Water Conservancy District (Owner) is soliciting bids to provide one (1) hydraulically operated 48-inch heavy-duty cast iron slide gate. The attached drawings illustrate the gate design concept. A.V. Watkins Dam is an earthfill dam located in Box Elder County about 6 miles southwest of Willard, Utah. A low-level delivery conduit is being installed to replace an existing siphon which does not meet the operational needs. A replacement conduit with a control gate is being designed to be installed within a new intake structure near the upstream toe of the dam. The Owner desires to procure a gate for installation in the summer/fall of 2022. The selected gate supplier will be responsible to design, fabricate, and ship the slide gate and appurtenances meeting the requirements provided in this Request for Proposals (RFP) and shown on the drawings and specifications attached hereto. The gate must be capable of being operated from a distance up to 380 feet from the hydraulic power unit. The bid should state the proposed cost and schedule to provide the gate and appurtenances described in the attached drawings and specification.
