NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS City of Forks Department of Public Works 500 E Division St, Forks, WA 98331 2023 Forks Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Forks until 2:00 pm (as determined by the clock at City Hall by the Front Counter) on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Bids may be delivered to City Hall, 500 E. Division Street, Forks, Washington 98331 and be received at the Front Counter or mailed to the same address Forks, Washington. Bids mailed to the address set forth for Bids shall be delivered by the above time or will not be considered. Any Bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. OPENING OF BIDS: The Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:15 pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2024, at the Council Chambers at City Hall in City of Forks. The bid opening will be open to the public for the live reading of the bids. Comments and questions will not be accepted during the bid opening. Bid results will be posted on the Builders Exchange project website and provided upon request. COMPLETION OF WORK: The Work must be Substantially Complete within 345 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed and physically complete all work within 364 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Mobilization, demolition, construction of Clarifier 2 and ancillary equipment; RAS and WAS pump stations with control panels, valve and flow meter vault, piping and ancillary equipment; electrical, instrumentation, control system and associated with these improvements. SITE OF WORK: The Project is located at the Forks Wastewater Treatment Facility at 10 Nottingham Way, Forks, WA 98133. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Plans, specifications, addenda and the bidders (plan holder) list for this project may be viewed online from Builder’s Exchange http://www.bxwa.com. To access online, click on “Posted Projects”, “Public Works”, “City of Forks”, and “Project Bidding”. Bidders must register with Builder’s Exchange to be notified of addenda and new documents on this project. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to check for addenda and other new documents online. Plan sets will not be sold through the City of Forks, though informational copies of plans and specifications are on file at the office of the City of Forks. Bidders requesting access to the WWTF site shall contact the City of Forks. Site access will be at the sole discretion of the City of forks. BIDS TO REMAIN OPEN: The Bidder shall guarantee the total Bid price for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of Bid opening.
