City of Geary is now taking bids to mow the highway right of ways within the Geary city limits. The city limits include the right of way along highway 281 south of Ringleman Street to the I-40 interchange, the south side of highway 66 east of highway 281 for 1 mile, and the access road on the south side of the interstate west for one half mile. The city limits also includes both sides of highway 281 going north of town for 1 mile. The city requires that the property from fence to fence be mowed at least 2 times per season, and the fifteen feet on each side of the highway and the center median be mowed at least 3 times per season. The city would also like for trash pickup and weed eating to be included in the bids. Bids may also be submitted for an "as needed" sched-ule. The city reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
