The Desert Center Unified School District is seeking qualified public works vendors and contractors to submit a Vendor Pre-Qualification Packet in anticipation of several construction projects planned for the near future. The project identified below is currently being developed for bid solicitation in April of 2022. Several projects will follow as developed and prioritized by the District. The District would like to pre-qualify A (Engineering), B (Building), C (Specialty) and D (Service: Drywall, Roofing, Painting, Flooring, Windows, Door Replacement, Cabinets etc.) contractors in anticipation of utilizing the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Act (CUPCCA) for many future projects. Project Description: Refurbish, remodel, and modernize three (3) existing residential mobile home units on District property. These are existing non-DSA structures utilized to house non-students. The units are approximately 600 to 800 square feet each. The project includes but is not limited to: (a) selected demolition; (b) rough and finish carpentry repair; (c) wall repair; (d) drywall; (e) flooring; (f) cabinet/casework repair and/or replacement; (g) paint (interior and exterior); (h) electrical upgrades; (i) plumbing upgrades; (j) HVAC upgrades; (k) roofing repair and/or replacement; (l) windows and window treatments; (m) interior furnishing/furniture; and (n) door and lock repair and/or replacement. Work may include exterior stair, landing and porch repair and replacement. Note: Your pre-qualification application, if approved, will be valid for current and future projects for one year from approval.
