Project description. The work consists of cold milling approximately 35,000 square feet of existing asphalt concrete pavement, disposal of the cold-milled pavement, replacing the specified areas with a new 2-inch asphalt concrete overlay, and performing other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the contract drawings.The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California hereby invites sealed bids for the Julian Hinds Pumping Plant Village Paving located in 100 Hayfield Road, Desert Center, CA 92239 in accordance with Specifications No. 2053. This estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the bidders nor the Contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimated cost range. Attendees must wear construction attire during the tour. All personnel attending the pre-bid conference shall possess a valid government-issued photo identification card and shall not pose a security risk to Metropolitan. Any vehicle entering a Metropolitan facility is subject to search and visual inspection.
