The City of West Jordan Stormwater Division is seeking bids for the purchase, delivery, and installation of 68,000 ft2 of sod. Final square footage calculations shall be the verified and guaranteed by the vendor/contractor after installation. Invoicing will be based on final verification of the square footage provided and installed. SCOPE OF WORK o The sod shall be an 80/20 blend of bluegrass and ryegrass OR 100% Kentucky Bluegrass suitable for northern Utah climates and soil conditions. o City staff will be preparing the area for sod by working the topsoil up to a hand-raked final grade. o The vendor/contractor shall be required to provide the proper amount of sod for the prepared project area. o Deliver the sod to 3200 west 7000 south in West Jordan, Utah, and have adequate staff and equipment available to install the sod within 48 hours of delivery. o The sod shall not be harvested from the sod farm location more than 48 hours from the time of delivery and shall arrive with no mold or discoloration o Any disturbances to the final grade made by the vendor/contractor by the use of equipment shall by hand raked back to the final grade by the vendor/contractor before installation of the sod. o All sod joints and seams shall be tight with no gaps. The sod shall be installed to provide the proper soilto-root contact to ensure the establishment of the sod. o The contractor shall communicate with the City of West Jordan Parks Division immediately upon the completion of the project so that adequate irrigation water can be applied to the newly installed sod. o The vendor/contractor shall invoice the City of West Jordan based on the square footage of the sod installed plus no more than 5% to account for cut ends and unusable remnants. o The vendor/contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of all pallets, debris, unusable sod remnants, etc. at the vendor's/contractor's sole expense.
