The Town of Thompson is seeking written proposals as required by CONNDOT's LOTCIP funding program guidelines for the Riverside Drive Replacement Project (Construction) Project. The 7400' long project includes replacement of concrete sidewalks, granite curbs, crosswalks, and some landscaping. Thereafter, bids will be opened in public and read aloud at the regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m. or at another meeting of the Board of Selectmen. The Town of Thompson hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority and disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that they will notbe discriminated against on the grounds of race, color,national origin or sex in consideration for anaward. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% setaside goals.
