As of March 6, 2023, the project has been cancelled. At this time, it has not been confirmed if the project will be rebid. Any bid received after the designated closing time will be returned unopened. All bids shall be submitted in duplicate, in one sealed envelope addressed to the Director of Purchasing and marked "SEALED BID BID NUMBER 22-010 FIRE RESCUE STATION #94 RENOVATIONS". The base bid work consists of enclosure of existing exterior courtyard to create a bunk area with 8 individual bunk rooms. Removal of existing windows between existing courtyard and surrounding spaces and infilling of masonry openings for solid separation walls between new bunk area and existing surrounding spaces. Construction of masonry extensions on existing parapets to support new roof structure and clerestory windows. Provision of new roofing system identical to existing surrounding roofing system. All associated and incidental work. Bids received from Bidders not submitting the mandatory site inspection form will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. Bid bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders upon request, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. The bid deposit of the successful bidder and the second qualifying bidder will be returned when the required performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates have been furnished and the Contract Documents have been executed. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. Award will be made to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date set for the opening thereof. The obligations of the CITY under this award are subject to the availability of funds lawfully appropriated for its purpose by the City Council.
