Remove and dispose of all roof shingles. Add new shingles and use the following materials for reroofing:
o Shingles are to be Architectural grade black from a USA based manufacturer.
o Felt is to be 15# Heavy duty"
o Shingles should be durable and have aesthetic appeal
o Comply with all requirements for safety procedures, reports, and meetings in accordance with applicable regulations, bylaws, and safety programs.
o Contractor shall not remove more roofing than can be replaced in
the same day
o Removal shall be down to the existing deck. Maintain strict dust control measures for the duration of the project.
o Contractor shall carefully release and bend up existing shingles counterflashing to install new shingles.
o Carefully bend down and re-anchor flashing upon completion of installation.

If the bid bond is not submitted with the bid the Authority shall reject the bid. Performance Bond: If the bid is over $100,000, the successful bidder must furnish a 100% performance and payment bond from an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of Illinois. The Lake County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids received or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of bids without consent of the LCHA.
