Renovation of an educational facility in Boulder, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project Number-19-027, 20152 The current squash court and racquetball courts 1 and 2 are underutilized and the Rec Center wishes to renovate the space into a new fitness space. Project includes the demolition and renovation of approx. 5,300 SF of existing racquetball and squash courts. The scope of work includes removal of large portions of the existing concrete walls between courts to provide large open spaces for the new programs. The existing concrete walls are load bearing walls and also function as shear walls for the building, and required significant steel reinforcement to be installed within the openings. A new mezzanine will be constructed within the space along with a small amount of MEP demo and renovation.
