DFCM Construction-Utah State Fairpark Days of 47 Arena Improvements-Supply and Install Fabricated Structural Steel and Aluminum Decking--CMGC Courtesy Posting ENTELEN Design-Build, LLC, is seeking bids from contractors to supply and install fabricated structural steel and decking at the Days of 47 Arena. North and South Steel/Platforms and Crossover Stairway: Must be substantially complete by midnight, July 11, 2022. All temporary shoring, blocking or scaffolding must be removed by this date and this phase of the project shall be substantially complete and ready for installation of fencing (where it occurs). East and West Steel/Platforms: The substantial completion date for the entire project is yet to be established. If the complete East and West Steel Platforms cannot be successfully completed and moved into place by July 18, 2022, or if attempting to complete them on schedule would jeopardize the completion of the North and South Platforms and/or Crossover Stairway, then a re-mobilization will be required. Planned installation will then occur in a short window beginning on July 27, 2022. The deadline for RFIs and questions is 5:00 PM on April 8, 2022. Submit all questions/RFIs to jaburt@entelen.com. Work of this entire structural steel, decking and railings subcontract shall start on April 15, 2022 and be substantially complete by July 11, 2022. If this completion date is not deemed achievable, in addition to your schedule provided as a part of the RFP, you should also include a brief schedule narrative explaining why it is not achievable and detailing how it will be achieved in the two phases as indicated herein. This narrative can help your scoring related to the schedule. The scope of work shall be as outlined in preliminary drawings and specifications prepared by Babcock Design and BHB Structural Engineers. This work generally includes: o Selected subcontractor shall provide design assistance with respect to availability of selected suitable materials, and their subsequent fabrication and installation schedules o Identify and procure any items required to maintain project schedule, even if required prior to receiving final design documents. Each proposer is expected to work closely with the design team to coordinate these items o Provide procurement of long-lead-time equipment and/or materials o Framing elements anticipated include wide-flange steel elements, steel angles, shopwelded connection angles and field-bolted structural connections. o Decking elements include metal pre-formed sections similar to those installed at the arena currently. Subcontractor recommendations for cost and availability will be considered in connection with the selection process. o Selected subcontractor shall procure and fabricate of said structural steel framing, railings and selected metal decking components. Chain link fencing systems shall be the work of a separate subcontract. o Selected subcontractor shall install said structural steel, railing and decking elements o Subcontractor must be diligent in communication with ENTELEN and DFCM staff regarding status of work and material deliveries occurring offsite.
