The City of Santa Clara is seeking Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified consultant(s) for environmental consulting services to support Silicon Valley Power (SVP), the Citys Electric Utility. The Project Objectives are to deliver detailed environmental review assessments of SVPs proposed capital projects to determine any California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) actions that may be required for each project. Depending on the outcome of the review assessments, consultant may be asked to prepare required studies including, but not limited to initial studies/mitigated negative declarations or environmental impact reports in accordance with CEQA and City of Santa Clara standards, may be prepared by the consultant. The purpose of this SOQ is to enter one or more master contracts for services on an as-needed basis. As tasks are identified, work orders will be awarded based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to cost, expertise, and availability. In its sole discretion, the City may obtain quotes amongst the vendors selected through this process or assign work directly and without obtaining multiple quotes. The estimated task amount ranges from $50,000 to $250,000 depending on the size and complexity of the task. The City typically spends $150,000 annually on these services. TERM OF AGREEMENT The initial term of the agreement shall be for five (5) years. At its sole discretion, the City reserves the right to exercise up to one (1) one-year options to extend the agreement, for a total of six (6) years.
