The City of Alton, Illinois is accepting proposals from engineering consultants for preliminary and construction engineering services for the Safe Routes to School Phase 4 project. This project will be constructed on Tremont Street from Johnson Street to Central Avenue, Marilla Street from Tremont Street to Milnor Street, Milnor Street from Marilla Street to Central Avenue, Central Avenue from Milnor Street to College Avenue, and College Avenue from Pleasant Street to 200 feet west of Central Avenue inAlton, Illinois. The evaluation criteria and weighting for this project is as follows: Experience and Technical Competence =30%; Capacity and Capability =30%; Past Record of Performance =30%; Local Presence = 10%. Consultants should request aproposal packet from the Alton Public Works Department, which is located at 2 Emma Kaus Lane in Alton, Illinois. The proposal packet contains adetailed description of the project and the anticipated project schedule. The technical proposal must not contain any cost information. All proposals shall include aconflict of interest form. All proposals shall also include acopy of the consultant's current IDOT prequalification certificate approved in the category of Highways Roads and Streets. Proposals will be evaluated by the Alton Public Works Department QBS selection committee. Interviews of engineering consultants will not be held for this project.
