Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 60,000-square-foot, one-story above grade warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.
.1 This project involves construction of a new raw sugar bulk storage facility within the existing Pier 10 site at the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority. .2 The proposed new pre-engineered building is 60,000 sf and will be supported by reinforced concrete foundations on piles. .3 Site development will include removal of existing buildings, concrete surfaces and foundations as required to construct the new building and asphalt pavements for the entire site. .4 The new building is unheated and requires a ventilation system and controls for air changes and operation of a front-end loader in the movement of product within the building. .5 The work includes new electrical service for the development and isolation of all existing services feeding the buildings to be removed. .6 The new building will include lighting, convenience power, and electrical power for the tenant. .7 Site access will be through a new controlled access gate with card readers, CCTV system, and communications tied into the existing Pier 10 infrastructure.
