We are seeking statements of qualifications from professional consulting firms interested in providing services for the development of an Airport Master Plan Study. The Virginia Tech Montgomery Executive Airport has experienced growth in general aviation activity with the expansion of the runway to 5,500' completed in 2020 and commensurate with growth in the surrounding community and Virginia Tech. This runway extension has allowed for sport team charters of 30-seats and less to begin to operate to and from the airport. In addition, there is interest by numerous aeronautical as well as nonaeronautical firms in providing service or leasing space as well as desire to collaborate with stakeholders on and off campus. The master plan study will analyze current (and forecast future) demand, and develop a plan to support the needs of the Virginia Tech Montgomery Executive Airport over the next 20 years.
