Email questions to: Angie Frazier afrazier@blacksburg.gov Liquidated damages will be assessed as damages, but not as a penalty, at a rate of $100.00 per calendar day, as the sole remedy, for each and every calendar day the project is not complete beyond June 30,2022 for FY22 Paving and Milling, and beyond October 31, 2022 for FY23 Paving and Milling. For liquidated damages to be assessed, the Owner must notify the Contractor in writing ofthe Owner's intention to claim liquidated damages prior to the time such liquidated damages begin to accrue. Bid Bond Required: 5%. A performance bond and a labor and material payment bond for the foil contract price and a certificate of insurance naming the Town ofBlacksburg as an additional insured will be required prior to beginning work. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and/or irregularities.
