Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: pavement removal, pavement resurfacing, preparation of base; storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter, sidewalk removal and replacement at various locations; hot-mix asphalt binder and surface course(s); earth excavation; traffic control and protection; and restoration; at Middle School South, Isaac Fox Elementary School, and the High School in the Village of Lake Zurich. All bids offered must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the aggregate of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. The successful bidder for the project is required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount, with sureties to be approved by the Owner, and in the form required by the Bidding documents. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Registration is required. A Special Provision for time of completion is included with the contract. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof. No work may begin before Monday, May 30, 2022, The Contractor shall complete all the specified work by Friday, August 5, 2022.
