Renovation of a multi-residential development in Bennington, Vermont. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Shires Housing requests proposals from architectural firms for design services related to the renovation of a large commercial space to convert to an estimated 40 units of multi-family housing. The project includes the schematic design of a single building as well as arriving at a construction cost estimate with an independent cost estimator. The project will be located in Bennington, Vermont. Qualified applicants will have comparable experience as well as knowledge of affordable housing, publicly funded projects, and federal regulations. Subject to HUD Environmental Review approval and if the project is deemed to be feasible, it is Shires intent to continue working with the selected firm through completion. Minority-owned, women-owned, and locally-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
