As of June 14, 2022 This project is awarded to Wiederholt Enterprises for $908,320.00, Augelli Concrete for $124,950.00, Iverson Construction for $291,891.00, J&R Supply for $21,900.00, and County Materials for $115,181.00, with total warded amount of $1,462,242. The City of Cuba City, Wisconsin will receive separate sealed unit price bids for the following items as they relate to street improvements, general excavation, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water system improvements in the City of Cuba City. The City of Cuba City is the primary funding source. A portion of this project is financed through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Local Road Improvement Program funds (under the Municipal Streets Improvement Program portion of the LRIP). CONTRACT # 1 Underground Utilities, Excavation, Gravel - Work will include installation of approximately 4200 lineal feet of 6" through 10" water main, fittings, valves, 6 hydrants, 1100 lineal feet of 1" and 1-1/2" water service line, 31 service connections, 2500 lineal feet of 8" sanitary sewer, 10 manholes, 2100 lineal feet of 15" through 24" RCP storm sewer, 15 structures, excavation of approximately 3200 lineal feet of existing and proposed streets, storm water pond construction, 5600 tons of Road Gravel, 7500 tons of Breaker Run and misc. items. CONTRACT # 2 Curb and Gutter - Work will include furnishing and installation of approximately 6400 lineal feet of 30" curb and gutter, approximately 1300 square feet of 4" and 6" concrete flatwork and miscellaneous work. CONTRACT # 3 Hot Mixed Asphalt - Work will include furnishing and placement of approximately 8100 square yards of 1-1/2" HMA binder course street, approximately 8100 square yards of 1-1/2" HMA surface course street, approximately 5900 square yards of 2" HMA binder course street, approximately 5900 square yards of 2" HMA surface course street and approximately 100 square yards of 2" driveways or equivalent patching. The City of Cuba City reserves the right to waive formalities in bidding and to reject any and all bids. No bid shall be withdrawn without the consent of the Owner for a period of forty-five days after the scheduled time of the bid opening. BID BOND: A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a licensed surety company or a certified check payable to the City of Cuba City in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidders will execute and file the proper contract and bonds within ten days after the award of the contract. The letting of the work described herein is subjected to the provisions of Section 66.0901 and 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The minimum wage rates to be paid for the project shall be in accordance with Section 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes. State and Federal wage determinations do not apply to this project. The successful bidders for Contracts #1, #2 and #3 will be required to furnish a corporate performance bond and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds are to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the Owner.
