Description: The renovation of two existing high technology simulation labs with new entrances and floor layout. We will also create two lower level simulation labs and nursing laboratory space. We are adding medical Headwalls that will have simulated gas and suction piped to locations. THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF MINOR RECONFIGURATION OF CLASS LAB SPACES THE BUILDING USE IS UNCHANGED AS A RESULT OF THIS PROJECT THE BUILDING AREA IS UNCHANGED AS A RESULT OF THIS PROJECT THE BUILDING HEIGHT IS UNCHANGED AS A RESULT OF THIS PROJECT THE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TYPE IS UNCHANGED AS A RESULT OF THIS PROJECT THE BUILDING OCCUPANT LOAD AND EXITING DISTANCES, SIZES, PATHS AND EXIT LOCATIONS ARE UNCHANGED AS A RESULT OF THIS PROJECT This Project consists of the renovation of approximately 3,000 sf of interior renovation to create new nursing sim labs in two separate areas on the ARCC Cambridge Campus. The project involves removal of existing interior partitions, creation of new masonry openings in an existing wall, removal and replacement of existing ceilings and flooring materials. This project will also install new and salvaged hollow metal doors and windows. As part of this project, a new compressed air and vacuum system system will be installed and connected to new headwalls (provided by Owner, installed by Contractor) to simulated medical gas, oxygen, and vacuum. The compressor and vacuum equipment will be installed in a mechanical room immediately below one of the two project areas and will need to be piped to the other project area.
