Selected firm(s) shall provide professional Hazardous Materials Assessment and related services as needed throughout the life of the project(s) they are selected to perform duties on and potentially provide any or all the following services outlined in this Section. All work performed shall comply with the approved construction documents, applicable codes, and regulations. The initial scope of work for each project will be established prior to the issuing of a Task Order. Dependent upon the Project's needs, firms may be requested to perform various Hazardous Materials Assessment related tasks at different phases of design and construction. These services include, but are not limited to: (A) Hazardous Material Assessment Consultant shall furnish, without limitation, all necessary labor, materials, hardware, software, tools, testing, and equipment to complete the work as described in this document. This contract may include hazardous soil contaminant assessments. The intent here is to give a brief, general description of services which may be required. Consultant shall determine the complete scope of work necessary for the project in their proposal and conduct all work using applicable codes and standards providing the services to the level of professional care. Submit questions, comments, and exceptions, including notifications of apparent errors, to Tory Newman, Senior Capital Projects Manager, at tnewman@smcgov.org by the Deadline for Questions, Comments and Exceptions. Questions and comments received after the deadline may not be acknowledged. Liquidated damages of $2,500 per violation; If requesting changes to a part of this solicitation, identify the specific words or phrases and the sections and paragraphsin which they occur. State the reason for each request and provide alternative suggested language. Failure to submit requests by the deadline will be deemed a waiver of any exception. The County's consideration of a suggestion does not imply acceptance. If sufficient proposals are received with no requested changes, the County may reject those requesting changes. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
