Renovation of a military facility in Camp Douglas, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 17,000-square-foot military facility.
In general, the Work consists of the removal of approximately 17,000 square feet of roof material including insulation, from roof to decking at Roof Areas 1 and 2 and 820 square feet of Built-up Roofing (BUR) at Area 4. Install new flat roof system to be fully adhered Ethylene-Propylene-Diene-Monomer (EPDM) membrane, 60 mils thick. Mechanically fasten (or adhere) new rigid insulation to achieve minimum total R5 value of 25. Inspect and clean or replace roof drains as necessary (replace gutters and downspouts). Provide new flashing, pipe boots, counter-flashing, and other roof accessories as required to achieve manufacturer 20-year No-Dollar Limit warranty. Provide new roof ladder from Roof Area 2 up to Roof Area 1 as it interferes with gutter system. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
