Site work for a museum in East Granby, Connecticut. Design plans call for site work for a museum.
As of March 10, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, it is anticipated bidding will commence in September 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The purpose of the current RFP is to solicit the services of an individual architect, structural engineer, team of qualified individuals, or firm to create architectural drawings and specifications to stabilize the four-story Cell Block and retaining walls at Old New-Gate Prison & Copper Mine. It also is expected that the successful bidder will assist with writing the scope of work, preparing a cost analysis for the construction activities, creating bid documents for the subsequent construction services RFP, and being available for at least one bid meeting when the construction services RFP is released. The project goal is to stabilize the four-story Cell Block portion of the museum's ruins and provide greater access for visitors
