Saving Project...

Renovation of a municipal facility in Windber, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Somerset County Commissioners are seeking bids for the renovations to the interior of the building located at 1510 Jefferson Avenue in Windber Borough for the relocation of the Windber Magisterial District Court. Each bid is to be accompanied by a certified check, cashier s check or the bid bond of an approved Surety Company, in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the proposal. Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the County of Somerset. Bids may be held by the County for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract The County reserves the rights to award in part, to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, and to reject technical defects, irregularities, or omissions if, in its judgment, such actions are in the best interests of the County. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Insurance Certificates and Performance and Payment Bonds and Maintenance Bond. Work under this Contract is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (1961 August 15, PL 987, P.S. 165) and subsequent amendments. Work under this Contract is subject to the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012).
