As of November 2, 2022, construction is underway. A timeline for completion has not been confirmed. The work to be bid upon is described as follows: Contact I (Force Main & Pump Stations) - Furnishing and installation of approximately 8,400 LF of 4" force main and two (2) sewer pump stations. Contract II (Wastewater Treatment Plant) - Furnish and install; gravity sewer lines, a new precast headworks structure with screen and bypass, metering manholes, and a precast concrete activated sludge treatment plant. Time allowed for substantial completion of Contract I (Force Main & Pump Stations) is 240 calendar days. Time allowed for substantial completion of Contract II (WWTP) is 240 calendar days. CDBG #19-004 SX 21135010 Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Electric Plant Board of the City of Vanceburg in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date bids are opened. He may, however, withdraw his bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Electric Plant Board of the City of Vanceburg reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive formalities and any bid that is obviously unbalanced may be rejected.
