TOWNSHIP OF IRONTON, SAUK COUNTY WISCONSIN IS SOLICITING BIDS FOR LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS. The Town of Ironton board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. No bid, except for limestone product bids and hourly equipment rate bids, will be received unless accompanied by a Bid Bond as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the contractor will execute and file the proposed Contract and Performance Bond, for the full amount of the contract within 10 calendar days after awarding of the contract. Limestone product bids and hourly equipment rate bids must include a business check payable to the township of Ironton in the amount of $1,000 to be held, uncashed until the season's work has been satisfactorily completed. The check will be returned at that time. If the bid is not successful the check will be returned immediately. Limestone product bids must offer deliveries for township residents at the providers discretion. (The Township will coordinate such deliveries and guarantee all payments.) No bid will be received unless accompanied by a Certificate of Insurance or, have provided a current Certificate of Insurance that is held on file with the Town Clerk. All products are to be bid by the cubic yard. 5. Shouldering with limestone gravel, applied with a shouldering machine. 6. Ditch work consisting of cleaning, cutting down banks placing riprap and culvert replacement (Bids can be by the hour with moving costs) 7. Full-width patches, using 5MT hot mix asphalt placed with a paver and rolled. 8. Single Seal Coat using limestone chips, various widths. 9. Wedging of existing roadways, using 5MT hot mix asphalt. 10. Patching and full wedge overlay of existing roadways, various widths, using 5MT hot mix asphalt. 11. Crack filling of existing roadways. SPECIFIC ROADS TO BID LaRue Road from Approximately Griffin Pit Road to Finnegan Road. Treatment: Apply a full wedge overlay of the existing roadway. (The work area will be marked with white paint) McLain Road End to end. Treatment Second application of sealcoat on the seal over gravel road. Frank Road (This is an LRIP project) This project is approx. 1.28 miles in length beginning at Old K Road, including both legs and continuing to the West towards County Highway G. The work area will be marked with white paint. 1. Pulverizing of the existing roadway. 2. Cleaning ditches as needed to provide adequate drainage for a 20 foot finished top 3. Delivery and placement of inch road gravel as needed to create a base 24 feet wide 4. Final grading and prep prior to hot mix paving 5. Two inches thick by 20-foot-wide application of 5 MT hot mix asphalt applied and rolled 6.
