Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Aurora, Colorado. Completed plans call civil work for a wastewater treatment plant.
This project entails the replacement of the existing Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) vault at 153 N Potomac St which includes all piping, valves, flow meter, bypass line, Electronic Instrumentation & Control components and SCADA control, flow meter, radio equipment, cathodic protection, ventilation and heating (HVAC). This is a priority location for Aurora Water Operations due to a number of improvement & safety needs. The PRV is a key component in our water system as it regulates water pressures from Pressure Zone 3 to Pressure zone 2 within Ward III. Operational safety is a major concern at this location as it is currently located within the southbound lanes of Potomac St with high traffic volumes on either side of the vault making maintenance work at this location very difficult.
