Renovation of a detention facility in Limon, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Limon Correctional Facility (LCF) Seminary Electrical Work Service Start : 5/13/2022 Service End : 6/30/2022 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The LCF Seminary Electrical Work project, located at the Limon Correctional Facility (LCF) in Limon, Colorado, consists of, but is not limited to, field verification, selective demolition, electrical panel/material submittals, raceways, sleeves, fire caulking, conductors, connection to receptacles at Power Poles (poles provided and installed by Owner), fully functional installation in general compliance with the Scope of Work. SCOPE OF WORK Scope of Work to include, but not be limited to: 1) Provide and install a new 200A, 208V/3PH electrical panel to serve four classrooms. The proposed loads for the 200A panel are four classrooms with 25 computers per classroom. Assuming 250 W per computer and monitor, this equates to 25 KW (70A, 208V/3PH). 2) The new panel shall be connected to the existing 800A, 208V/3PH distribution panel ADSDC. A power study has been provided by Owner for existing distribution panel ADSDC per NEC 220.87. The metering data indicates the highest peak demand of 45 KW (125A, 208V/3PH) from the fundamental power table. NEC 220.87 requires the service or feeder load be calculated at the 125% of the maximum demand plus the new load. Although the current planned load is only 25 KW (70A), a 200A panel could be expanded to 160 A (80%) or 57.6 KW of continuous load in the future. Therefore, the new calculated load would be 45 KW * 125% + 57.6 KW = 113.9 KW or 316A, 208V/3PH. (See attached Load Analysis prepared by Schendt Engineering dated 2/24/2022). 3) Electrical Contractor shall modify existing distribution panel, install new panel, and install all material and components including conduit, raceways, junction boxes, hangers, sleeves, anchorage, and conductors for all electrical power receptacles to serve one (1) Classroom CR1 with twenty-five student workstations, utilizing thirteen (13) Power Poles (provided and installed by CDOC). 4) Electrical Contractor shall install new conduit with conductors indicated on LI-01 Administration - Second Floor Plan from existing panel ADSDC, routed up to above ceiling, over two-story entryway in encased chase to second floor Mechanical Room and extended down to the first floor ceiling space. 5) Electrical Contractor shall install new conduit with conductors indicated on LI-01 Administration Building - First Floor Plan extended down from the second floor, routed above the first floor ceiling, the first floor Mechanical Room to the new panel, adjacent to Classrooms CR1, CR2, CR3, and CR4. Bidder/Contractor shall provide an Allowance of 300 linier feet of total conduit length between existing and new panels.
