The Project consists of the following: Discharge pipe improvements including installation of valves and support structure, and related work; new 16-inch epoxy coated steel siphon pipe; placement of import fill and aggregate base; rock slope protection. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Bidders shall be skilled, regularly engaged and licensed in the general class or type of work specified and possess a valid California Class "A" Contractor's License. In accordance with the provisions of the State of California Labor Code 1770 et seq., the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) has ascertained the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the Work to be done. Bidders shall be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5 to be qualified to bid on or engage in the performance of work under this Contract. These requirements extend to all Subcontractors to be listed on a bid proposal or engage in the performance of work under this Contract.
