Renovation of a municipal facility in Summerland, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This Request for Proposals is an invitation by the District of Summerland to prospective Proponents to submit non-binding Proposals to supply, deliver, install and commission a noxious fume exhaust system in the Mechanics Bay at the District of Summerland Works & Utilities building, as outlined in the drawings and specifications included with the RFP. The following scope of works is recommended as a minimum and is not limited to: 1. All labour, equipment and resources for the supply, installation and commissioning of the noxious fume exhaust system in accordance with the design intent drawings, including: A. All permits and certification as required by code and the local jurisdiction B. New weatherproofed external louvres C. Sheet metal ductwork D. Electrical installation E. Fire alarm panel integration F. Noxious Fume Exhaust System (exhaust fan, sensors, controls) G. Air system balancing H. Verification of system including operation and maintenance manual 2. Install a new noxious fume exhaust fan and monitoring system and to connect the exhaust fan into the existing fire alarm panel so that the exhaust fan de-energizes in the event of a fire. 3. All new equipment shall be adequately labeled to the satisfaction of the Owner. 4. The Contractor is reminded that the building will be occupied during the renovations. Shutdowns of the existing services must be closely coordinated with the District. 5. New ductwork including ancillary equipment are to be installed as indicated on the mechanical design intent drawings and installed plumb and level. 6. The Proponent must also make due allowance for all cranage, electrical, builders work and permits. 7. Verify that all existing local power supplies, are installed correctly and are operational. 8. Provide one-year warranty on new system and equipment. 9. Manufacturer's start-up service on new equipment. 10. Demonstrate to Owner how to calibrate sensors 11. Product rep for system is required to provide demonstration of maintenance logs to Owner. Documents can be obtained from http://www.summerland.ca/bids
