The work to be performed generally includes Upper Eagle Regional Water Authority and Eagle River Water and Sanitation District are soliciting proposals from qualified Contractors to improve deteriorated and or non-code compliant access hatches to several potable water storage tanks and booster pump stations within their distribution system. Due to the critical scheduling restrictions and condensed timeframe to implement these improvements, Contractors shall have crews at numerous sites simultaneously and perform work while the water storage tanks remain operational. The work to be performed at the individual sites generally includes isolated excavation to expose concrete risers and hatches; minor concrete rehabilitation on existing hatch risers; construction of new, conventionally reinforced concrete risers; installation of manhole rungs or aluminum ladder extensions, and installation of new access hatches (provided by the Owner). The work to be performed at one of the booster pump station sites generally includes: isolated excavation to expose steel riser and hatch; fabrication and installation of a new steel riser; coating repairs; and installation of a new access hatch (provided by the Owner). The following completion schedule is required: District water storage tank and booster pump station sites by July 15, 2022.
Authority water storage tank and booster pump station sites by October 14, 2022. Each Bidder shall file with his Bid a cashier s check, or a Bid Bond, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment and Warranty Bond guaranteeing faithful performance. No Bids may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days after the date Bids are opened. All interested parties are invited to attend. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in any bid.
