Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Benicia, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes, but is not limited to: a. Earthwork b. Paving; and c. Signage and striping; and d. Completing all appurtenant work in place and ready for public use, all as shown in these Special Provisions and other Contract Documents on file in the Public Works Department, to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled. The Contractor shall complete all the work within thirty (30) Working Days from the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall be present on the site July 5, 2022 and begin activities that may include mobilization, construction area sign installation, BMP installation, surveying or other project activities. The Contractor shall submit a detailed construction schedule and traffic/pedestrian control plans to the Engineer within five (5) calendar days after receipt of Notice of Award from the City. Refer to Technical Requirements of this project manual for more details. A California Class A - General Engineering Contractor contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Bidders shall submit a completed Bond Accompanying Bid form as provided for in the Special Provisions accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check (certified without qualification and drawn on a solvent bank of the State of California or a National Bank doing business in the State of California) or completed Bond Accompanying Bid form of not less than 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the City. This Project is subject to prevailing wage compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
