Renovation of a mixed-use development in Golden, Colorado. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; laboratory facility; and municipal facility.
The Colorado School of Mines requests submittals for prequalification of General Contractors for the Brown Hall Electrical Engineering Office and Lab Renovation. The project will consist of a 4,077sf lab renovation creating 5 Electrical Engineering labs (including 2 shelled expansion labs), and a 3,979sf office renovation in Brown Hall on School of Mines campus. This project will also create two storefront entrances in an existing CMU block wall. General Contractors must demonstrate recent experience in the construction of projects of similar size and type in a university campus environment. This is Step 1 of a two-step solicitation process where qualification packages will be reviewed, evaluated, and scored for each submitting firm. The highest-ranking firms will be included as pre-qualified, short-listed General Contractors. Step 2 will be invitation to short-listed General Contractors to bid this project.
