The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and means to construct various improvements as depicted in the Contract Documents for the Project. The principal Items of Work, include but are not limited to: Breakaway Barricade 4 Unit Drum 20 Unit Traffic Cone 20 Unit Construction Signs 81 S.F. Traffic Director, Flagger 40 Hours HMA Pavement Repair, If and Where Directed 200 S.Y. 15" High Density Polyethylene Pipe, If and Where Directed 100 L.F. Underdrain, Type F, If and Where Directed 100 L.F. Reset Existing Casting 37 Unit Reconstructed Inlet, Type A, Using Existing Casting 3 Unit Reconstructed Inlet, Type B, Using Existing Casting 20 Unit Reconstructed Inlet, Type E, Using Existing Casting 3 Unit Bicycle Safe Grate 60 Unit Curb Piece 50 Unit 9" X 18" Concrete Vertical Curb, If and Where Directed 100 L.F. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11 et seq.) and the requirements of the Public Works Contractors Registration Act. All Bids must be accompanied by: Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check or cashier's check or bid bond for not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid amount, provided said check or bond need not be more than $20,000.00; Certificate from a Surety Company guaranteeing that the successful Bidder will furnish performance and payment (labor and materials) bonds, each in a sum not less than 100% of the total price for the complete bid if awarded, with an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Borough; Statement of Corporate Ownership, setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation who own ten percent (10%) or more of the stock in any class, or of the individual partners in the partnership who own ten percent (10%) or greater interest therein; Listing of Subcontractors; Notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit; Notarized Bidder's Affidavit; Acknowledgment of Receipt of Changes to Bid Documents Form; and Bid Document Submission Checklist. The Standard Bid Forms, Non-Collusion Affidavit and Disclosure Statement are included with the specifications. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and Chapter 127 of P.L. 1975 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) and any amendments thereto, regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. All Bidders are notified that the Contract will include the mandatory equal employment opportunity language. The successful Bidder will be required to submit an Initial Project Manning Report (Form AA-201) within three (3) days of the Notice of Award of the construction Contract. If the successful Bidder fails to submit said report, the Borough may declare the Contractor non-responsive and award the Contract to the next lowest responsible Bidder. This Contract is subject to all of the Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulation and to the applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. All Bidders are notified that the Contract will include payment of prevailing wage rates established by the Department of Labor of the State of New Jersey. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening of Bids. The Borough reserves the right to waive minor defects and informalities in any Bid and to reject any and all Bids, or to accept Bids that are, in the opinion of the Borough, in the best interest of the Borough. The proposed project is being partially funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation's Local Aid Infrastructure Program. The Borough reserves the right to reject any Bids which exceed the available financial appropriation for this Project.
