Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Carteret, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project consists of the reconstruction or resurfacing of various streets, concrete curb and gutter replacement, streetscape improvements, pothole repair, drainage improvements, associated work and restoration. Approximate quantities include 25,000 SY of milling, 3,000 tons of HMA surface course, 2,000 linear feet of curb, 1,000 square yards of concrete walks and aprons, associated work, and restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Borough of Carteret, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. The Borough of Carteret reserves the right to reject any and all proposals to the extent permitted by law (in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and applicable case law).
