Contractor to furnish labor, equipment, and supplies to clean the interior and exterior windows of various City buildings. The term of the contract(s) shall be for the period of August 1, 2022, through November 30, 2023, with an option to renew for an additional year. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit services from qualified contractors to furnish labor, equipment, and supplies to clean the interior and exterior of various City buildings. The term of the contract(s) shall be for the period of August 1, 2022, through November 30, 2023, with an option to renew for an additional year. 1. Clean all dirt and grime from interior and exterior windows, remove all spider webs and clean all window frames. 2.Windows are to be cleaned on a quarterly basis to begin in August 2022, November 2022, February 2023, May 2023, August 2023, and November 2023. Scope of Service 1. The term of the contract shall be for the period of August 1, 2022, through November 30, 2023, with an option to renew for an additional year. 2. Contractor shall be required to perform work during normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00pm. 3. Payment for Services rendered will be made net 15 days upon submission of invoice. 4. In case of failure to deliver services in accordance with the contract terms and conditions, the City of Emporia, after due oral or written notice, may procure them from other sources and hold the Contractor responsible for any resulting additional costs. The City reserves the right to cancel and terminate the contract upon 30 days written notice to the Contractor. 5. Any property damage resulting from work performed under this contract shall be repaired to the City's satisfaction at the Contractor's expense. 6. The Contractor shall be entirely responsible for any loss or damage to his/her own materials, supplies and equipment, and to the personal property of his/her own employees while they are maintained on the work site. 7. The Contractor must have Workmen's Compensation Insurance and Commonwealth Liability Insurance in the minimum sum of $100,000. Attach proof of same to this RFP form. Contractor must have a current business license. 8. This contract shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the City of Emporia. 9. Contractor must provide all Safety Data Sheets that are required for all chemicals to clean windows with. The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue RFP's for similar work, for other disciplines or types of work, and for other projects as need may occur.
